Chadd was part of the SaveNaples.org efforts to save the Gaviota coastline being threatened by development. Chadd and friend Nole Cossart paddled, surfed and camped from Santa Barabara to the Mexican border. Self powered and gliding on Alaia’s these two logged some serious paddle time while raising awareness for the cause. Matuse Family: Congratulations Rick Takahashi

Rick Takahashi

Dear Matuse Family,

I would like to thank you for supporting me in my surfing. This has been another long season. Matuse, Rusty, Hanger94, Dakine and Grand Ave. Chiropractic have been great to me and I appreciate all the support.

It was a long season but I enjoyed the competition and success. Here is a summation of my competitive year:
NSSA 25+ (10 contest, 8 counts to the title)
8-wins
1-2nd
1-4th
4th at westerns
3rd at nationals

NSSA 35+ (10 contest, 8 counts to the title)
7-wins
2-2nds
1-4th
3rd at westerns
1-National Title

Surfing America
2nd at nationals

I made EVERY Final in every contest I entered this year. This was a first for me. I never placed lower than 4th and I had the only perfect season in the NSSA for 2010. The only disappointment was not winning Westerns and not winning the other two National titles. However, I think gaining 16 wins, three 2nd places, two 3rd places and four 4th places made for a successful year.

Cheers, Rick Takahashi

CDM Art Show

Here are some samplings of Chris Del Moro’s art work. If you visited the art show you would have been treated to some nice wine, great art and photos. Rumor has it the post show dance party at Casa de CDM was off the chain. Late attendees will know what I’m talking about. If you missed it keep an eye out for more shows in the near future.
