Dear Matuse Family,

It has been quite intense over the last few weeks. However, it is now over — although not for long as I am back in the studio already! I just wanted to keep you updated with all Geoprene news from this side of the Atlantic…

I have continued using the same techniques in order to keep designing on Geoprene, and have used one piece in my final show as part of the manikin piece, and made another one which I have used as a portfolio piece. The degree is now over so I am free to go crazy and do some more aesthetically exciting pieces. My project was very technical so it was almost slightly restricted. However, now that I have the techniques, I plan to go wild on the fabrics and take the ‘look’ to a new level…! Anyway, I thought you might like to see a few pictures of what I have been up to with the Geoprene!!

TSD – "I Love My Life" Mural Time-lapse

Matuse Family Member, Taylor Scott Dunfee, had an art show last week in Chicago’s Studio 101. The time-lapse above shows Taylor creating the “I Love My Life” mural inside Studio 101. It took him 9 hrs along with a lot of beers and smokes to get this done. Taylor also confesses to being a bit scared of heights but he got through it for his art. Sight|Sound World Premiere Party in NY

Sight|Sound by High Seas Films

The much anticipated release of Sight|Sound is now here. This week the East coast gets their first look at the new surf film Sight|Sound by High Seas Films. Matuse Family Member, Chris Del Moro, is out to in NY to enjoy the Sight|Sound World Premier at The James Hotel. The event goes off tonight, June 14th, starting at 9pm. Get there if you can.

Another notable showing of the film will be at Ruschmeyer’s in Montauk, NY on Saturday, July 16 starting at 7pm. Matuse Family Member, Rob McKinley, owns and operates this new Montauk hot spot. His other two venues are Surf Lodge in Montauk and Gold Bar in NY city. You can learn more about Rob in our community section under creative judges. Pat Millin Enjoying the South Swells
