Zach Plopper: Saving Baja's Coastline

Matuse family member, Zach Plopper, spends a lot of time on Baja’s desolate Pacific Coast. But scoring waves is not his only mission. Zach works with Wildcoast to conserve the peninsula’s most threatened and biologically significant coastal areas; which happen to also serve up some of the best right hand point breaks in North America. Whether its the rifling tubes of Abreojos or the sweeping points of the 7 sisters, Zach is heavily involved with keeping untouched areas pristine and working with local communities to build stewardship for the local environment.
