Matuse Family Member Derek Dunfee on the Front Cover of the San Francisco Chronicle

Derek Dunfee graced the front page of the San Francisco Chronicle today. Derek made the journey up to Mavericks over the holiday weekend when he saw the swell models looking ideal for Mavericks. Derek is always on top of all the big swells and his knowledge and experience let him know that Mavericks would be going off. His prediction came true when he scored some of the best waves ever seen at Mavericks. The San Francisco Chronicle used a photo of Derek when covering the epic swell.
