LUPE FIASCO IN THE ICHIBAN

Matuse Family Member, Mike Muller, sent us this shot today of Lupe Fiasco, one of his fellow climbers on the recent Summit on the Summit mission to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro (http://summitonthesummit.com/). A Hemingway favorite and the loftiest point in Africa, this fabled peak is situated 3 degrees south of the Equator and has 3 distinct volcanic cones. While it obviously doesn’t have the highest elevation of any mountain in the world, Kilimanjaro is actually the planet’s tallest freestanding mountain rise — scaling 15,100 feet (4,600 meters) from its base. Big ups to Mike and Lupe for taking down this heavy hitting climb and raising awareness around the earth’s clean water crisis.
