Jamie Sterling Chasing the California Dream

Jamie Sterling recently was in California riding large Mavericks during the last combo swell. As most people know California had a massive offshore event that also fanned one of the largest fires in history to hit California. While most people were evacuating many surfers were chasing swells under an ashy sky. California reefs, points and sand bars served up some of the best waves surfers have seen in over a year. For those who were brave enough to deal with the ashy air perfect waves rewarded their efforts (Never mind the scratch in your throat and lungs — the grin takes the pain away.). Jamie Sterling along with Greg Long and Mark Healey made the trek from Mavericks down to Mexico and back up the Cali coast sampling all her delights. Check the images they got while on their trip.
