Chadd and Nole Paddle to Preserve

chadd_gaviota

Chadd Konig and Nole Cossart are following their hearts on a coastal paddle board odyssey from Gaviota to the Mexican border to raise awareness for the Gaviota Coast. A pristine part of California that could be ruined forever by planned development. Through the paddle they hope to share their passion for unspoiled space and spread the word about the importance of preserving what is left of our natural coastline. Follow their journey by visiting www.savenaples.org where you can donate, learn more, share your thoughts and be a part of the adventure.

Timeline:
May 12th, Departing Gaviota
May 13th, Landing at Stearns Wharf, Santa Barbara
May 16th, Arriving at Sacred Craft in Ventura
Through to end of May, Continuing onward to US/Mexico Border

Chad and Nole have been shaping and riding Alaia boards over the last year. They plan on sharing their knowledge of shaping at the Sacred Craft in Ventura while also sharing some rides with friends as they travel down the coast. Help support them by visiting www.savenaples.org.

The journey will be documented by Branden Aroyan for The Surfer’s Journal.
