Why do you need a 10’6″ Chris Christensen?

To paddle surf Jaws on Maui. Derek pushing himself once again. This is his first wave.
True story…Not naming names…but there’s a Red Wing and Wayfarer wearin’ SD kid that would shed more than a few crocodile tears whenever Ernie dropped this hot track. Not new boot goofin’ either, dude.


Huge congratulations to Matuse Family Member, Derek Dunfee, for scoring the recent cover shot for Surfer magazine. Derek spent some time in Hawaii this year and it paid off. This photo was taken on a classic Hawaiian day at Off the Wall. Derek scene here relaxed and barreled while wearing our Chapter 1 top. Derek’s been working hard and it’s good to see him get this reward. Great work Derek!

The premiere of an independent surf documentary is happening soon and we want to reach out. The film is called Splinters.
The film won Best Documentary at the 2011 Surfer Poll Awards, and made the rounds at Tribeca & IDFA. It also won Best Documentary at the London Surf Film Festival and is gearing up for submission for the First Annual San Diego Surf Film Festival, slated for late Spring of this year.
