Big ups to Matuse Family Member and current UCSD student, Joseph B. Campbell, for bringing the SHHO (i.e., the Student Hip Hop Organization) to the West Coast. We’re expecting big things from both Joe and this Virginia-based organization—and Matuse is excited to be a part of their program. So look out for additional content similar to the vids above. Greg Betz is the name and inspirational force behind the Matuse full john and short john. In this clip, Greg has returned to his birthplace of Oahu and is able to re-live childhood memories at “The Wall.” As always, Greg’s focus was his surfing, friends, family, art and love. This video’s footage is from Greg’s time working on the Hydrodynamica project as a still photographer – along with Cher Pendarvis (producer) Richard Kenvin (Director) and Ryan Field (DP) . The edit also pays tribute to the original Paipo Man, Ray Hookano (RIP). Aloha nui loa, Ray. Finally, big ups to Matuse Family Member, Ian O’Roarty, for putting it all together.
