We showed you Foster the People before in this post: Monday Musts, but their EP is out on iTunes, so you should show the group a little love by checking it out here: Foster the People – EP. The song above is Pumped Up Kicks and the track below is Houdini. They are kind of a more rock offshoot of Empire of the Sun or MGMT.
Chances are you know Big Boi aka Big Daddy Fat Sacks aka Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, originally half of Outkast. This past summer, Big Boi’s debut solo album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty dropped. In addition, the Black Keys, a well known alternative group dropped an awesome album entitled Brothers. Wick-it the Instigator created a mash up using both. It’s beyond excellent. The lyrics of Big Boi with the beats of the Black Keys blend so smoothly. The first preview uses “Shutterbug” over “Tighten Up” and the second uses “Shine Blockas” over “Everlasting Light” by Big Boi and Black Keys respectively. Can you dig the intro from The Mack” to “Everlasting Shine Blockaz”? Click the link below to find the whole mixtape.
