Luke Rife Video

Matuse Family Member, Luke Rife, has been working hard all summer long. He’s been chasing south swells up and down the Cali coast and even made a surgical strike to Cabo this summer. Matuse Family Member, Hans Hagen, has also been working with Luke for LRG clothing. Look for a sweet video coming out soon from their last trip to the Indian Ocean.

Radiohead From The Basement

Radiohead performing their latest album ‘The King Of Limbs’ with From The Basement. Produced by Nigel Godrich and featuring Clive Deamer and additional musicians, the band perform the 8 tracks from The King Of Limbs, as well as Staircase and The Daily Mail.

Nathan Zoller Video

Matuse Family Member, Nathan Zoller, has been busy. The video shows Nathan running around Southern Cal chasing waves and busting his fins free. The end section is from Hawaii and shows Nathan cutting loose in the warm stuff. Keep an eye out for this kid out of the Laguna Beach area. He won the surf division in the Ultimate Boarder this year and is working with fellow Matuse Family Member, Hans Hagen, for LRG clothing.

MATUSE X ALEXANDRA CASSANITI = GEOMETRY

Check this sneak preview of the recent Geometry collaboration between Matuse and Alexandra Cassaniti…Now showing at the Magic Tradeshow in Las Vegas (Booth # 75442).

The inaugural Geometry line consists of three pieces: A Henley, a modified Farmer John and a function-first Surf Bikini.

Each item is reversible (Black or Blue) and employs a fit-silhouette specifically engineered for women in the water (i.e., these suits will stay on). Moreover, the entire collection is made from Matuse’s limestone-based Geoprene that’s 98% water impermeable (compared to the standard 65% offered by standard neoprene made from petroleum). So a Geometry suit not only makes you lighter and warmer, it’s also looking out for Mother Nature. Doin’ our part.

Finally, as we all know, geometry (the study) is defined as “the mathematics of measurement, and relationships of points, lines, angles, surfaces, and solids.” As premium (ichiban) products for women who surf, Geometry (the swim collection) aptly represents the study of its namesake.

Geometry will hit the shelves for Spring/Summer 2012.

Cheers,

The Matuse Family

Pat Millin in NYC

Dear Matuse family,

Reporting to you from the Big apple of NYC. My trip to the concrete jungle has been action packed thus far. I started my adventure off cruising the streets of NYC on my skateboard dodging crazy taxi drivers and every type of human imaginable. Along my journey I was able to snap few pics of awesomeness throughout concrete empire. After a few days in the city I was burnt on the urban scene and ready to get to the beach. After a hour long train ride from Penn station I arrived in Long beach where I met up with native big wave surfers Will and Cliff Skudin. The Skudin brothers run and operate NYC’s first surf camp teaching inner city kids, frothing groms and wall street bankers how to surf. The Skudin bros had asked me to come out to the camp to have a special guest appearance and sign some autographs for the ever growing surf scene in Long Beach NY. Needless to say there were plenty of waves ridden and ear to ear smiles. Big shout out to the Skudin surf camp (nysea.com) and all the little hopeful participants in the camp.
