Swell Interval: 14 sec.
Peak Day: Saturday
Weather: Wind and Rain expected
Second Swell: 300, chest+
Peak Day: Tuesday

Another swell is on it’s way and is currently filling in. This swell will have weather with it so conditions will be questionable. Saturday looks to be the peak day with top spots maybe reaching DOH. This 270 degree swell is coming from a storm pretty close to the Cali coast so intervals will be short, 14 sec or less. A lot of west in this one so pick your spots accordingly. Looks like low tide mornings so most spots should be working.

A second swell is on it’s way for Tuesday. This one has a lot more North coming from 300 degrees. Size is estimated at chest + with a slight chance of rain for So-Cal. Next estimates are for a swell arriving around Feb 25th.

With all this rain it might be a better bet to hit the slopes. Big Bear is forecasting a few inches of new snow on Saturday. Snow levels look to be right around the 6,000 ft. mark which is great since the base of Bear is 7,140 ft. However, Bear is forecasting that the snow level should rise to over 7,000 ft come Mon – Wed which means it’ll be raining on the mountain. Keep a close eye on that if you plan on hitting it up in during the week. All roads to Bear are currently open. Mammoth’s forecast is looking a lot better. They are expecting snow all weekend. They’re estimating 1″-3″ on Saturday and 3″-12″ on Sunday. Highs for Saturday are estimated at 24 degrees F and for Sunday 17 degrees F. So the snow should be be pretty good. First ones in line Monday morning will probably score. Whatever you choose to do get out there and have fun.
