Ain’t Nobody’s (April) Fool Haiku Contest

Haiku Contest

Spring is upon us. Grills are grillin’, Frisbees are spinnin’, and clothes are comin’ (off). In the spirit of Japanese literature, and amidst this season of change, it’s time to dust off your Haiku writing skeelz. To the winner goes a Hoplite 3/2/2mm fullsuit – the ideal transition piece. Here’s the deal…

1. Get clever and call upon your creative A-Game.
2. Write a 3 line poem: First line is 5 syllables. Second line is 7 syllables. Third line is 5 syllables.
3. The theme (for April) MUST relate to the following theme: “Ain’t Nobody’s (April) Fool.”
4. Make an effort to be classy.
5. Don’t front, Don’t imitate, Don’t copy, never plagiarize. Be original.
6. Submit your work to the Discussion Section of the Matuse, Inc. Facebook Fan Page (www.facebook.com/matusefans) by Friday, April 30th, 12pm PST.
7. Be prepared for critiques/criticism/constructive trash talking. Guard your grill.
8. At month’s end, the poet laureates of Matuse, Inc. will announce the winner of some Premium (the ichiban) Game.

Cheers,
