Hoplite 4:3:2 gets a run in Oregon Waters

A recent email received from Chad Nelsen, Surfrider Foundation’s Environmental Director.

I recently headed up to Seaside, Oregon for the annual Pacific Northwest Surfrider Foundation Chapter Conference. Before the conference started a number of surfing activists met up a Short Sands – a magnificent cove with giant Spruce trees spilling right onto the beach and waterfalls trickling on to the sand. We were blessed with sun, offshore winds and peaky waves everywhere. I wore my Hoplite 4:3:2 for the first time and it kept me toasty in the brisk Oregon waters.

The conference was a meeting of the minds for chapter activists in Oregon, Washington and British Columbia who are working on a number of important issues ranging from marine protected areas, oil spill prevention, wave energy, water quality and beach access. You can learn more about their work at:
