J Waters – Fashawn the Fresnan

Fashawn is a 21 year old rapper from Fresno, California who was featured on XXL Mag’s 2010 “10 Freshmen to Watch” cover earlier this year along with Big Sean, Wiz Khalifa, and J. Cole (09’s saw Kid Cudi and B.o.B. make the cut). That’s a little unfair though since, unlike most on the list he already has one absolutely terrific LP under his belt with “Boy Meets World.” Here are two songs from a project called “One Shot One Kill” that EASILY finds a place in my pantheon of mixtapes, including “Feel it All” that makes great use of the lovely Canadian songstress Feist. The third song is from the more recent “Grizzly City 3″ mixtape and reworks Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody”.
