J Waters – XV: Square in the Circle

Everybody and their grandmother has made a mixtape by now, but it’s only the rare few that warrant anything but a cursory listen followed by a swift kick to the trashbin. The tracks following; however, are different and  are off the mixtape by a Kansas-born rapper named XV. The mixtape is called The Square in the Circle and is truly a great project front to back. He works with one producer called Seven and crafts some truly terrific alternative rock inspired tracks. Start off with “Party Lights,” it’s a great introduction and one of my favorite rap songs period. Find where to get the mixtape at Just Excellent Beats. (link below)
