It’s a bit early in the season to score the best surf on the lakes but I love the idea of using the Albatross. I guess if there was a 6 foot swell running it would make the landings a bit bumpy.
Yeah! Whyd they come now? I was gonna head up there with Burton and Rusty but there were barely waves…doesnt get pumping till fallish…but thats ok> we’ll keep evading major pictoral proof that the lakes can be very very worthwhile and continue to shred them in peace:)
I’m was on board to the tour and am part of the project as a local consultant. Bringing the plane out here when there is actual surf is a little impractical cause it needs somewhere calm to land. As you know, surf conditions on the lake are not calm conditions. So this plane-tour was mostly a photo op. Jamie is coming back in the fall/winter to Lake Superior for actual surf, by land and jet ski.
