Derek Dunfee: Todos Santos Event

Matuse Family Members, Derek Dunfee and Jamie Sterling, recently competed in the first big wave contest held near Southern California in over 11 years. Todos Santos Island played host to the big wave event. Gary Linden put forth a great effort along side Greg Long to get the event organized and run successfully.

Derek Dunfee and Jamie Sterling were among a very short list to be invited into the event. Derek charged bravely but missed advancing out of his heat. He was nudged out by eventual winner Mark Healey. Jamie Sterling made it to the semis but missed the finals. Congratulations goes out to Mark Healey for winning the event.
